The weather has gotten significantly cooler.  It’s been grey and cloudy the majority of the time, and I just wanted to paint my nails to go with it; these colors seemed to fit! Ignore my middle finger, I broke it yesterday, then shortened the rest of my nails to match it :-[

Did a simple stripe design water marble.  I wanted to try out Zoya for water marbling (which worked fantastically btw), so for this one I used the Flash collection; it’s extremely bright in person!

I just love the lightning bolt mani; I can’t stop doing it! Lol.  I know you can’t really tell the difference in the yellows on my thumb, but you can definitely see it better in person.  Inspired by Nailside and Mad Manis.

I decided to try out water marbling (youtube it)! After my base coat, I painted my nails white (you can sort of see the white peeking out near the edges of my nails) so that the water marble mani would show up better. I like these groovy colors, and what’s fun about water marbling is sometimes, the colors sort of mix together to create brand new colors/shades!

First time out, water marbling is incredibly time-consuming, but eventually, you figure out what swirl patterns you like, how to quickly create the patterns you like, and exactly where to dip your fingernail. I’m not sure I’ll be doing water marble manicures often, but these are fun and unique, so I might do them when I’ve got a long weekend, or maybe during a holiday or something.
