30,000 Minx Nails Used To Make Dresses, Jumpsuits, And Even Bikini Bottoms At Charlie Le Mindu Show
French designer Charlie Le Mindu showed his collection at Paris Fashion Week, which featured items *gasp* made completely of Minx nails! Just LOOKING at one of Charlie’s dresses (above) you can tell tons of time went into creating these ensembles—each nail is different! The creators painstakingly covered each nail tip with not one, but two layers of Minx, which resulted in using more than 30,000 press-ons. Minx co-founder Dawn Lynch-Goodwin said, “Because each coating was layered over a metallic Minx base, it took twice as long to prepare the Kiss nail tips, but the metallic sheen combined with the hair graphic truly made the dress look like it was rippling down the runway.” The GORGE cobalt blue crew neck cap-sleeved dress with blue fringe was just the beginning of the Minx creations, though. This exquisite set of 12 long pointed artificial nails is totally blinged out in gold studs, black rhinestones, black studs and Black Diamond Swarovski Crystals. The main color is NARS Galion, a beautiful, mysterious, smokey blue-grey that looks almost black in some lighting. The accent nail is done in Illamasqua DWS, a much lighter blue-grey. This set has been cured with a UV Gel topcoat to ensure that all embellishments stay put!
